Vinyasa translates to "correct step." In Vinyasa yoga, you will focus on linking your breath and movement as you move from posture to posture. The spine will be moved in the six main directions as you flow from foundational standing and balancing postures all the way through seated postures, supine and prone postures, inversions, finishing postures, and visesas (exceptional or extreme postures). Sequences are designed with the body's anatomy in mind in order to correctly open and prepare your vehicle for a complete and proper Vinyasa practice. Variations and modifications will be given for all body types and experience levels.
